Event Browser

Event browser

Overview

The Event Browser makes it easy to explore and understand the events that shape your operations. It lets users search, filter, and inspect raw event data over any time window, helping you uncover not only what happened but also the full set of fields and values that describe each event.

By exposing the underlying JSON for every record, the Event Browser provides direct access to the data you need to construct queries, build virtual timeseries, and trend event-driven information alongside your live process data.

Centralized Awareness

The Event Browser consolidates your event history into one place. Users can quickly browse, search, and filter across system-recorded events without digging into multiple dashboards or historian queries.

Deep Navigation

Events can be viewed over any time period: hours, days, or months, allowing you to zoom in on specific windows of interest or pan out for a broader operational picture.

The built-in JSON viewer makes it simple to see the raw structure of each event.

Context Linking

Each event includes its full raw data payload, so you can immediately identify the fields available for constructing historian expressions.

For example, once you know a field name, you can trend it directly with a query.

Rich Filtering

With flexible search and filter options, you can isolate the events you care about most.

Whether you’re looking for all entries matching a tag, narrowing by a specific field, or scanning across a time window, the Event Browser ensures you can focus on relevant data fast.

Report Ready

Events are not just viewable, they are usable. By surfacing the exact fields and values, the Event Browser makes it easy to feed event data into charts, dashboards, and reports across Ingenuity, so your analysis and monitoring remain connected to the live operational context.

What makes us different?

Fully Integrated Context

Unlike standalone log viewers, the Event Browser is embedded in Ingenuity’s historian framework. Events can be trended and analysed directly alongside process data.

User-Discoverable Fields

No guessing. The JSON viewer reveals all available event fields, letting users see precisely which values can be queried or plotted without needing IT support.

Built for Action

The Event Browser isn’t just for browsing, it turns event records into virtual timeseries that can power trends, dashboards, and automated insights across the Ingenuity platform.

Seamless Historian Compatibility

Because it works directly with the EventLog historian, the Event Browser guarantees consistent data handling and interoperability with Ingenuity’s calculations, charts, and dashboards, so events become a first-class part of your analytics workflow.
